Book Club Records Profile
Book Club Records is currently on extended hiatus. Where & When:
Established in Brisbane (AU) in Jan 2005. Relocated to Manchester (UK) in Feb 2006.
Why: To promote independent pop music and make great records available at affordable prices.
How:
Book Club Records began primarily as a mail-order
distribution label, stocking rare and hard-to-find
pop releases from around the world. In late 2005,
we started putting out some of our own releases,
including a series of split EPs. In early 2006
we issued a husband-and-wife indie-pop compilation
and the debut EP from Jane Woody. 2006 also saw
the release of albums by Julian Nation (Melbourne)
and Roy Moller (Glasgow).
